Pania of the Reef - Character: Pania

On the east coast of North Island in a town called Napier, lived a lovely lady called Pania. She had straight rainbow long  hair and her eyes are as bright as green stone.

Paina was a creature of the deep dark sea. When pania was on land she blended in like a ordinary person on land. Pania would swim through the surf to the beach. Early one morning Pania was hiding in the sharp flax bushes then a young chief came for a drink at the spring and the he saw Pania. The young chief took her hand and took her back to his where in the pa.

THE GIANT HAWK OF THE MANAWATU HILLS.

In the manawatu hills there lived a giant hawk. And there lived a young boy called mato and a girl called mere.

One morning mato and mere went for a walk and then a giant hawk came and grabbed mere and then it flew away to the top of the manawatu hills. So that night mato went out to find mere it was a very long walk then after hours mato saw mere luckily the giant hawk was asleep but mere was stuck on a price of rope mato tried to cut the rope with his knife but it didn't work so mere stated crying and the rope started ripping so then mere was safe.
